Like most of us, Warren Beatty has no idea what happened at the end of the Academy Awards.

On Sunday night, the legendary actor and actress Faye Dunaway were the final presenters of the evening for the Best Picture category. The presenters somehow mistakenly declared that “La La Land” was Best Picture. It wasn’t until several acceptance speeches later that the real winner, “Moonlight,” was announced.

Following the huge flub, Beatty addressed the issue with a group of reporters, according to PEOPLE.

“I don’t know anything … I don’t think anyone knows. I’ve asked and I haven’t got an answer,” he said of the mistake.

The cast and crew of “Moonlight” didn’t seem fazed by the flub, however. While accepting his award, director Barry Jenkins was completely beside himself.

“Even in my dreams, this could not be true. But to hell with my dreams, this is true!” he said.
