In one tweet, Coulter refers to Delta as "the worst airline in America."

Although Atlanta-based Delta has a mostly nonunion workforce with pilots as the only major unionized employee group, Coulter asked: "Does your union hate you, @Delta?"

Coulter was on a flight Saturday from New York to West Palm Beach, Florida, when there was a mix up with the seating arrangement, according to Delta

Delta initially responded to Coulter via Twitter with a brief apology.

Coulter also posted a photo of the passenger she said was given her seat.

On Sunday, Coulter continued to aim her ire at Delta:

The carrier issued a statement condemning Coulter’s maelstrom on social media.

"We are disappointed that the customer has chosen to publicly attack our employees and other customers by posting derogatory and slanderous comments and photos in social media. Her actions are unnecessary and unacceptable," Delta said. "We will refund Ms. Coulter's $30 for the preferred seat on the exit row that she purchased."
